Association

The South Carolina D.A.R.E. Association was developed by a group of approximately 12 D.A.R.E. Officer's in 1988. Those officers saw a need to have a statewide organization for officers to be provided updated trainings, contacts on what works in the classrooms and what had not worked in the classrooms, and to maintain a close fellowship of D.A.R.E. Officers across the state.

 The S.C. D.A.R.E. Association developed into an organization that is now recognized statewide and by D.A.R.E. America.

This association holds its training conference yearly, maintaining a high standard of training classes to benefit the schools, parents and students of South Carolina.
